Youwantmore ran her rivals a merry dance with a decisive victory in the $25,000 SVS Vetinary Services (Rating 75) over 2100 metres on Saturday.

The five-year-old mare was stepping back a couple of grades after running a respectable sixth in the Listed Rotorua Cup at her last start.

Sent out second favourite, Youwantmore ($4.30) was able to get the front from barrier one and never gave her challengers a chance, stretching out to have a five lengths advantage over Hard To Be Humble (M.Cameron), and Nothing Trivial (T.Thornton) a head back in third.

The daughter of Sufficient has now won four of her last seven starts – each win piloted by four different riders.  This weekend, leading apprentice Sam Weatherley enjoyed the armchair ride.

Youwantmore’s winning time was 2:15.29 (last 600m in 38.11) on a Slow9 track.

“She’s a family horse. She’s been a revelation this winter, and we are very proud of her,” part owner and trainer Robert Priscott said.

“She’s by Sufficient, so we named her after the famous quote in the Charles Dickens book – Oliver Twist.”

The five year old mare has won six and eight placings from 31 starts, has earned just short of $90,000 for owner/breeders Miss M, M & R B Priscott.
